Boulder Farmers' Market Today

With everything drying out and heating up, what a great day to get to today's Boulder Farmers' Market. And a great time of year also, with those earlier treasures like sugar snap peas still available, while the fruits and summer squashes are starting to come in. The Market says corn is coming soon, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that, given the weird cooler, wetter weather that has characterized the end of spring/early summer, but heck, the Market knows best. Here's what they say:

In Season Now

peaches, cherries, apricots, beets, kale, Swiss chard, lettuce, fava beans, zucchini, yellow squash, sugar snap peas, snow peas, carrots, spicy greens, arugula, spinach, green garlic, mizuna, thyme, lavender, mint, and chives. Fresh cut flowers include lilies, sweet peas, and Canterbury bells, and plant starts and hanging baskets will be available for only a couple more weeks.

All season long, you will find honey, bread, baked goods, eggs, beef, lamb, goat, pork, chicken, locally-made cheeses, preserves, mushrooms, and greenhouse tomatoes and cucumbers.

Coming soon: sweet corn!
